There is a supermarket in Saint-Barthelemy (5 minutes drive or 20 minute walk) and three large supermarkets in Baud as well as plenty of other shops (7 minutes by car).

There are several beautiful beaches just a 30 minute drive from Le Petit Secret. Carnac offers more touristic attractions, while Quiberon is renowned for watersport, regularly hosting surfing competitions. For untainted, natural beaches, look to Plage de Kervillen or Plage du Men near La Trinite sur Mer.

There are a couple of quaint local bars in Saint-Barthelemy and Melrand, as well as a restaurant and authentic Breton creperie in Melrand. In Baud, there are a variety of restaurants offering everything from traditional French cuisine to crepes to Italian. Further afield (but not too far away), there are many high-quality restaurants where you can try local delicacies, such as and salted butter caramel crepes, or freshly-caught mussels on the coast.
